Surface Pro

Microsoft's push against Apple's monopoly on the tablet industry seemed valid with the introduction with their fresh intriguing product, the Surface Pro. With their impressive dance-oriented advertisements, the Surface Pro has the promise of being the first legitimate competitor against Apple’s definitive iPad. Surface Pro

Unfortunately, the Surface Pro fails to check out on the major selling points of a tablet. For starters, the entry-level price is $900, which doesn't include one of its best attributes: the Type/Touch covers would set you back another $120. Although the Surface Pro boasts of 4GB RAM and 64 GB of storage (only 29 GB available for user content), it’s difficult for anyone to pull the trigger when the same price can get you decent ultrabook with better specs. The battery life is also subpar to its competitors, maxing out at around 5 hours, while the standard is 8 to 10 hours. Granted we can applaud Microsoft's ingenuity of creating a PC/Tablet hybrid, the Surface Pro fails to match up against its competitors in the ever-cut throat tech industry.
