Cliff Palace – one of the must-see locations inside Mesa Verde, to truly appreciate the scale – a guided tour is necessary.2. Mesa-top sites – visit the pit houses, the mesa top archeological sites: Badger House and Sun Temple.3. Wetherill Mesa – the 2nd largest Cliff Dwelling, Long House is viewed during a 4-mile tram to have guests enjoy the view.Long House View Top4. Flora and fauna – ran by the Ancestral Puebloans; Wild turkeys, abundant farms filled with corn, beans and squash. This is what you will experience grazing on the mesa top. Take a walk along the trails of Petroglyph Point and Knife Edge to take in the natural side of Mesa Verde.5. Cuisine – a four-star dining experience, the Metate Room supplying meals with such creations as Turkey Napoleon with roasted bell peppers, heirloom tomatoes and verde rice.
