It’s Buda Baby!
Take your next trip to Budapest, a lively and exciting city located in Hungary.Budapest is the most visited city of Hungary. The city is divided into two parts in a north-south direction. Buda comprises the hilly left bank and is generally a recreational and residential zone. Pest is the right bank and is home to massive housing, commercial and industrial areas. It’s very central in terms of traffic, because all major European roads and railway lines lead to Budapest. Budapest is the only capital city in the world that has thermal springs. These 125 springs produce 70 million liters of thermal water a day. There is an incredible cave system that has formed by the thermal waters under some of the hills in Buda. The most magnificent one is right underneath the Castle Hill. Some recommended excursions to experience while you’re in Budapest are the Budapest Flea Market, Janos Hill Lookout Tower and the Roman Ruins of Aquincum. The Budapest Flea Market is the main second-hand market of Budapest and is located on the outskirts of the city. If you’ve ever been to London or Paris, it can be compared to Portobello Road in London or the Paris Flea Market. The market offers both high quality antiques and objects of smaller value for those seeking gifts. The Janos Hill Lookout Tower is located in Buda. The chairlift brings you to the highest point of Budapest, where the 529-meter high Janos Hill Lookout Tower provides a breathtaking view of the entire city. The Roman Ruins of Aquincum, the former Roman provincial capital, contains ruins of the settlement and a large amphitheater. Mosaic floors, a diorama depicting Roman nobles, murals and a restored water organ can be seen.Even though parts of Budapest’s beautiful architecture is covered in graffiti and there are international fast-food eateries at every corner, the riverside embankment on the Pest side or the Danube bridges make up for it. It’s visiting attractions like those that will make you feel the romance of the city that, despite attempts from others to destroy it, has never died.
