Celebrating Excellence in Men's Fashion

New York City played host to A Fashion Affair: NYFW Men’s S/S ’16 style presentation and the first annual Couture Man Excellence Awards..MaxMGuestsHosted at The Delancey & Ludlow in their beautifully appointed Red Room, the evening began with an hour of power networking, leading into THE COUTURE MAN EXCELLENCE AWARDS and style presentations. Guest included Tony Award winning producer Stephen T. Byrd, April Jones of New Jersey City Fashion Week, Bravo TV’s Chantelle Fraser and Geneva S. Thomas of Blood Sweat and Heels, boutique owners, designers, a host of bloggers and media including fashion writer Judith Davis and RAINE magazine, a number of publicist including Kathy Liautaud of KL PR and Pujah Shah of Stylight , fashion designers, and business executives including Partick J. Harvey of LIGITT Regional Center, Peggy Dodson, Owner of UBC TV network, celebrity trainer and youth athletic coach Stacey Daniels, and popular New York celebrity event planner Village Dumetz of Village Arts Management.

The awards ceremony highlighted five people who have made an impact in the men’s fashion industry. The 2015 recipients included Jhanes Barnes, Fran Boller, David Chu, John Jones and Berny Martin. The style presentation “From Boys to Men” curated by event co-producer LaMar “The Couture Man” Wright boasted a selection of 6 looks that included pieces from Aldo, Cole Haan, Joe, Uniqlo, Calvin Klein, Premium Clothing, Ralph Lauren and Zara.1

Throughout the evening guests were surprised with special raffled give-a-ways including box of luxury organic skin care products from Spadet, a $250 gift certificate to PRZMAN, men’s goodie bag from hair care specialist Miss Jessie’s and luxury bottles of alkaline water from Fortune V Water. Custom tailors Elevee gifted everyone certificates valued at $700.

The event ended with a fashion presentation from Impact University alumni, John Acree, the collection supports the fight against homelessness.
