Threads of the Future
The "THREADS OF THE FUTURE” - AI Fashion Creator" contest was a spectacular showcase of innovation and creativity, where 12 exceptionally talented AI artists ventured into uncharted territory. Together with Forward Fashion Toronto and Uwangmo Magazine, Raine Magazine went on the hunt for top AI creators.
We want to give a special recognition to the top three artists of our twelve which are (in no particular order): Marcel Serrano, Nasim Majidizanjani, and Tapan Aslot.
From the world of abstract art to the realms of elegant menswear, these designers showcased their creative AI muscle with their unique design concepts. In a fashion industry evolving at breakneck speed, this event demonstrated the convergence of fashion and emerging technology. It was nothing short of a glimpse into the future of fashion, where AI-driven creations stand at the forefront of design.
Each submission was a testament to the boundless possibilities that AI offers to the world of fashion. The intricate patterns, bold color palettes, and avant-garde designs underscored the limitless potential of artificial intelligence as a creative partner. Marcel Serrano
From Barcelona, Brazilian designer Marcel Serrano fuses design, street art, and fashion with artificial intelligence to push creative boundaries.
After honing his vibrant aesthetic with major fashion brands for over a decade, Marcel now explores how technologies like AI and AR can redefine his artwork.
As a muralist, Marcel is integrating augmented reality to make his murals interactive portals.
While fashion has always been a passion, Marcel is now focused on learning how to use artificial intelligence in his creative process.
In just over a year, AI has become an indispensable part of his creative toolkit.
Though Barcelona is now home, Marcel draws inspiration from the rich mix of cultures and tropical energy of his native Rio de Janeiro.
By blending Brazilian influences with leading-edge AI, he brings a fresh cultural perspective to the global stage.

Nasim Majidizanjani
Nasim holds a Ph.D. in Architecture, specializing in creativity and design enhancements. With over a decade of academic experience, she teaches design processes and supervise numerous theses.
Her research has led to various publications on creativity.
Additionally, she’s spent seven years as a designer, running her design studio alongside her academic pursuits. Recently, she’s been actively involved in AI projects, using Midjourney.
Her focus within AI largely revolves around fashion, as well as architecture and interior design.

Tapan Aslot
Tapan Aslot is a Creative Director and AI Artist who specializes in integrating artificial intelligence with branding and advertising. With extensive global experience, he has collaborated with numerous prominent national and international brands, actively pioneering the development of Generative AI applications and disseminating his insights to the broader community.
His expertise and contributions have made him a respected voice in the field. He has been invited to be a panelist speaker at the prestigious Cypher2023, India’s biggest AI summit.
Apart from his professional achievements, Tapan Aslot is also committed to AI education. He is actively involved in educating children, university students, and organizations on the potential of AI and how it can be leveraged to drive innovation and growth. His passion for sharing his knowledge and expertise has made him a respected figure in the industry.
