Raine: What is Zaggora? And how did the brand come about?Zaggora: We are a fitness and lifestyle brand whose main objective is to empower woman and encourage an active, fashionable way of living. Originally constructed in the UK, the iconic product HotPants is a durable way to increase body temperature during physical activities, thus promoting weight loss. Products are officially available now in the US.R: Please tell us how the fabric technology works.Z: The material has a patent pending ThermoFit technology that harnesses the body’s individual heat and then accelerates it to turn up calorie burn. This allows for women to achieve more out of their workouts. The multi-layer fabric helps burn off the calories quickly and efficiently.
R: Who is the mastermind behind the brand?Z: The CEO of Zaggora is 29-year old Dessi Bell. Initially an investment banker at JP Morgan; like any female wanted to fit into her wedding dress faultlessly and began seeking for options to assist in weight loss. A simple Google search initiated the birth of Zaggora and has since sold over half a million hot pants worldwide.R: That’s Amazing! How many countries is it distributed amongst?Z: It is distributed to thousands of women and in 133 countries since its official launch back in July 2011.
R: What an appreciable entrepreneur brand. How did this business venture develop?Z: As Zaggora stated earlier, literally off the Internet! It works wonders for a budding entrepreneur. If one dedicates the time, you can not only market your business for free but you can start a venture with a small budget. Bell started off the first few months in her very own living room before realizing what a hit the product actually was. Zaggora now resides in a small garden at Covent Garden, London with a full staff of 30 as opposed to the initial 4.R: Raine researched the background of Zaggora before this Q&A and we noticed all the awards it has received. Please elaborate on them.Z: Dessi Bell has won numerous awards such as being a finalist in Shell’s 2012 Women of the Future Awards and Management’s Today’s 2012 35 under 25.
