Using the Touch ID technology, Apple Pay allows iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus users hold their phone near the contactless reader with their finger on the Touch ID button and once they feel the vibration from their phone, their purchase is complete.

Passbook was used to store boarding passes, coupons and tickets, but now I'm combination with Apple Pay it now securely stores credit and debit card information so you'll never have to reach for them while shopping, you simply use your phone.

For those worried about their personal information being at risk, Apple Pay does not store purchase that were made and being that Touch ID is needed in order to make purchases, only the owner of the phone can activate it. Worried about losing your phone? Well, Apple has you covered.If your iPhone is ever lost or stolen, you can use Find My iPhone to quickly put your device in Lost Mode so nothing is accessible, or you can wipe your iPhone clean completely.

Lastly Apple Pay does not store any of the details from he transactions that are made, so you can be sure that your purchases are made privately.

This Apple Pay technology will be made available on the Apple Watch in early 2015, but for now iPhone 6 users are anxiously awaiting the official launch of Apple Pay this October! With 22,000 stores---and counting, already on board and accepting Apple Pay, banks and credit card companies such as American Express, Wells Fargo, Citi, Chase, Bank of America and Capital One are standing behind this technological movement as well.
