Wellness at Adler Thermae Spa & Resort

Adler Thermae Spa & Resort in Tuscany has redefined the idea of wellness. Its peaceful surroundings in the UNESCO Tuscan site, warm thermal waters and the staff’s fierce dedication have proven to be a magical combination. Here they practice the true philosophy of living and eating well. It has become the perfect retreat into pure wellness and relaxation.

Adler Thermae is built as an antique rural villa surrounded by gardens, and only a few hundred meters from the small village of Bagno Vignoni. Thermal vapors and medieval towers create a surreal atmosphere in the heart of Tuscany and flow into the spa offering the rejuvenation first discovered by the Etruscans hundreds of years ago. The healing waters are the basis for many treatments such the Grotta Salina, the underground salt bath where magical lights and exhilarating perfumes lead to a complete sense of wellbeing and strengthen the healing effect of the salt water.

The over 120 innovative spa treatments are always improving using the best natural products and state of the art equipment. Treatments address both inner harmony and outer beauty and deep relaxation with a team of over forty staff and physicians providing individual counselling and treatments for body and soul that range from typical Adler Thermae Tuscan applications with their own Adler Spa “Tuscany” series of organic skincare products to international spa treatments, and from the secrets of Far Eastern health philosophies to modern health programs under medical supervision.

Fitness regimens are custom made and specifically designed for men, women, mothers- to- be, honeymooners and families. Programs also include yoga, Pilates, Zen Stretching, cardio and power training, hiking and biking through the rich countryside. When not relaxing in the spa, days can be spent wandering the Tuscan hills visiting the historic villages like Montepulciano, Montalcino and Pienza and sampling their shops and restaurants serving the fresh regional cuisine.

Cuisine is a focal point. Chef Gaetano Vaccaro likes to make use of unadulterated local produce from organic farms: herbs from the hotel garden, their own best quality olive oil, organic flour produced on the doorstep for the daily oven-fresh bread, tender cuts of meat from Tuscany’s Chianina breed of cattle, fresh sun-ripened vegetables and many other genuine ingredients from which the chefs create the typical Tuscany kitchen with the Tuscan-Mediterranean touch.
