Waze Gains an Unlikely Guide

Arney wasn’t kidding when he said he’d be back. Schwarzenegger, known for his iconic role as a humanoid robot in the Terminator movies, is returning to the character in a very strange way to promote for the upcoming film in the franchise, Terminator Genisys (out July 1). He has become the voice of the navigation app Waze--if he can't keep you out of traffic we don't know what will!

Now, drivers can travel around, guided by the Austrian-accented voice of a murderous machine created by Skynet. He’ll tell you where to go and even warn you of any upcoming dangers like a shapeshifting T-1000, for example.

With this new feature, you’ll really be able to feel like John Connor leading the resistance against the machines. Sadly, there is no time travel feature so good luck sending your own father back to the past to meet your mother. Just one quick joke: What does the app say when you turn it off while it’s in “Ahnold” mode? Hast la vista, baby.
