The Best of Raine Event - Celebrating 12 Years of Making it Raine

On Friday October 11th,  Raine Magazine hosted The Best of Raine Release Party, a celebration of some of Raine’s favorite Rainemaker interviews over the years.

From the early days of Kendall Jenner to Priyanka Chopra and Mark Cuban, in this special issue we join Nova Lorraine and her team down memory lane. The release was kicked off by an invitation only event in New York City. Fashionably dressed guests filled the Spyglass Rooftop Bar located at the Archer Hotel in Midtown Manhattan, to network, mingle and support the launch of Raine’s 35th volume. The venue was majestically lit by the moon and a number of very abstract and luminous chandeliers were positioned throughout.

The location of the bar was breathtaking, as invitees admirred the breathtaking views of the Empire State building and the backdrop of Manhattan, as they sipped their custom cocktails made of Red Harbor Rum provided by Local Choice Spirits.  One goal that seemed apparent for most of the individuals in the room, was to share a couple of words with Founder Nova Lorraine. People were very interested in hearing the inspiration for the magazine as well as the stories behind all the volumes that came before it.

The outdoor and indoor areas of Spyglass helped create an intimate and relaxing environment with sights of the city lights and as well as the busy streets below. Alongside having a very comfortable atmosphere to mingle in, the guests were served delicious eats throughout the evening from the various spreads provided by the rooftop bar.

The music kept the atmosphere lively and DJ Kris Carver The Great played tunes that mimicked the excitement of the party. Amongst the attendees of the event was fashion icon, philanthropist and author Jean Shafiroff, Raine Magazine’s newest cover star.

Shafiroff regards fashion as art, and plays a large role in New York’s charity scene. She organizes approximately eight fundraisers a year, and has a number of  galas, lunches and cocktail parties to aid in her fundraising causes. As a Rainemaker impacting communities worldwide, she is the perfect representation of the Best of Raine Special Edition.

 This collectible issue represents some of the brilliant gems that Raine has uncovered over the last 35 volumes produced. The Rainemakers featured within this edition have all went on to accomplish incredible things since their interviews with Raine. Some examples are Kendall Jenner now one of the world’s most notable fashion models. Other great examples are Ben Carson who has since run for president, and Alicia Marie who is currently an online phenomenon.

Raine Magazine was launched in 2007 and inspires innovators worldwide through authentic and visual storytelling. Stories vary from creative to creative, but they share a common goal to remind people to never give up on their dreams.

Throughout the night, the service from the Archer Hotel and Spyglass were unforgettable as their staff graciously made everyone feel at home and well attended to. The event was in partnership with Archer Hotel, Nari Skincare, Local Choice Spirits and Image Lab. Gift bags were provided by Image lab and were also filled with products by Nare Skincare and Mudd Cosmetics.

As the event came to an end, all the guests had made their final rounds around the rooftop to take in all of the city sights. In addition to receiving their giftbags they were showered with thanks and farewell wishes from the various members of the Raine Team which included, Founder Nova Lorraine, Senior Editor Kristopher Johnson, Creative Team Director Vital Agibalow, and Associate Emmanuela Blanc.

In summary, from the phenomenal location, to the delightful guests, food, drinks, cool muscial vibes as well as the mesmerizing views, the evening was spectacular and we look forward to the next Raine event!
