Dive Into The Armory

The Armory Show is a leading international contemporary and modern art fair, which takes place in New York annually in the month of March. This year’s show progressed from March 7th-10th.Situated in Piers 92 & 94 within Central Manhattan, it has attracted its share of unique entertainers, eager dealers, eccentric customers and devoted supporters. With the immense amount of galleries waiting to be brought, dealt and sold – such dealers such as William Acquavella and Alberto Mugrabi in the past have attended. Even celebrities in particular like Beyonce Knowles, Leelee Sobeiski, and Jay-Z have made appearances in this international institution. The Armory Show began in 1913 as New York’s three-city exhibition in the city’s 69th Regiment Armory. It then went along to the Art Institute of Chicago as well as the Copley Society of Art in Boston. Photograph Showing the Armory Art Show in New York in 1913  This year the New York Historical Society’s exhibition displays a series of seventy-five diligent pieces including American and European paintings and sculptures that will represent avant-garde and early 20-century American art.
