NOLCHA FW - Karo Swimwear
To wrap up Nolcha Fashion Week's of independent designers, Karo Swimwear is the fourth and last in line for review from Raine. Karo's line featured gorgeous splotches of pastel colors, creating a 80s aesthetic this season. Frankly, swimwear models have nothing to hide when it comes to their bodies’ yet only selective brands flatter their models more than others. In Karo Swimwear's first season, it trimmed female silhouettes with delicate details and stunning ornaments. Each piece not only helped balance out proportions, even adding volume where one can be lacking in the hips or breasts, many had intricate designs cascading down the front. Below is Karo’s creation called the Snake Suit, a bold approach towards a bandeau top with a snake connector attached and a fearless thong in her backside. This suit can be worn in multiple ways and unquestionably without the snake. When one is at the beach, us females want nothing more than the fit to be correct, the cut to be flattering, to avoid bunching and all the while baring it all. With each of Karo’s creations walking down the runway – each looked like a Miami beach goddess declaring triumph. Every design had a story in itself. Raine’s only proposal is that it kept a consistent movement. This will assist in Karo’s intent to have classic Jane Fonda’s walking down future runways. To bring it out of the Miami-esque presentation and onto high-fashion. KARO’s intent is to create pieces that are feminine and bright paired with natural stones, pearls, jewels and crystals. Amok with cultural swim appropriation, her swim collection stood out among the limited expectations of other swimwear lines.Karo Swimwear after her Summer/Spring 14 runway at Nolcha Fashion Week, Sept 11th.Themes were conveyed within the collection to set apart from other swimwear lines, it created a situation ripple that awed the audience. Behind Karo’s brand is designer Kasia Roginska, “My words cannot express how happy and privileged I feel being a part of Nolcha Fashion Week. It has been my dream and dreams do come true." The Cleopatra inspired two-suit is one of Raine's favorites. PHOTO SOURCE: Nolcha Fashion Week Press Images // Paul Newman FashionStock
