New Girl on the Block
Bambi Northwood-Blyth is making a name for herself in the modeling industry. Heavy brows. Piercing, light blue eyes. Full lips and a straight perfect nose. These features on top of her perfect measurements make Bambi Northwood-Blythe an up and coming model to look out for. This Aussie model first got noticed in her hometown of Melbourne in the tabloids from dating Ksubi founder Dan Single. After becoming an established model in her home country she flew to the States and signed with Elite Models New York. At just 19 years old, she debuted at the Spring 2011 Jen Kao show, walked for rag & bone and closed for Deisel. In London, Bambi was booked for Giles, Topshop Unique, Loewe and EmanualUngaro. When she moved onto take Paris, she walked for world renowned designers Chanel and Balenciaga. That’s a lot of experience in such a short period of time, and this top-model-in-the-making is not ready to slow down yet. Before she became a model, she was just a girl who spent time at the beach in her hometown with her sisters and played netball, the Austrialian version of women’s basketball, for ten years. She also got a head start globe trotting with her boyfriend to places like Bali, India and Paris. As far as favorite designers go, Bambi names Balenciaga, Ksubi, Commes de Garcon, and Alexander Wang as her top choices. Her personal style can vary based on the season, from leather in the winter to beachy and loose in the summer. Her birth name was Stephanie Northwood-Blythe, but she says she was called Bambi as a child and the name stuck.Info source:James Lim of New York MagazineDerek Blasberg of V MagazinePhoto source: Nico at Harper’s Bazaar
