Mountain Pass
Ever dream of scenes out of a Planet Earth Ice Cave episode and wonder how the camera crew felt while they stared in awe above the beautiful frozen mountains? You can do so just by foot in the world’s third highest road pass in Switzerland, The Great St. Bernard Pass. You can venture off into a 11th-century year old monastery, a structure perched on a 8,100 foot high pass just resting on the snowy seams of Switzerland. Just around the bend from a stunning hike, Lausanne is a small town just overlooking Lake Geneva. You can stumble upon Lavaux Vineyards as well, to taste fine wine and take your romantic long nightly walks. Do not be frightened by the weather, all the views and amiable folks around will steal your heart. Photo Source: NYTimes & FlickrWriter Source: Tina Chen
