Mad Men makes moves

One might think a cease on production of a hit TV show would alter the status of its success and cast while being on a hiatus. But for the popular Mad Men show, the case is not evident in the slightest form.Winning the best drama Emmy award for the last three years, Mad Men saw a creative conflict delaying season 5 until 2012. With a resolution of the dispute between Lions Gate Entertainment and AMC, Mad Men is set to return with an even higher platform than before. With the success Mad Men and other AMC shows have made, AMC Networks Inc. has separated from Cablevision Systems Corporate to become a public company. This now leaves the company open to the market for buyers such as Time Warner and Disney in what would be the most expensive U.S. media takeover since 2006. The attraction can be attributed to Mad Men.While the merge of AMC is still unknown, the cast on Mad Men have not followed the same path of a delay. Actress Abigail Spencer will star alongside James Franco in the upcoming Disney film Oz:The Great and Powerful . Christina Hendricks, who plays the role of Joan Holloway, has kept her hands active during the break of season 5 production. Hendricks will have roles in two films to be released on the same date of September 16, 2011. The action drama Drive features her Carey Mulligan, Bryan Cranston, and Ryan Gosling. The other film, I Don't Know How She Does It, is a romantic comedy that also includes Sarah Jessica Parker , Seth Meyers , Kelsey Grammar, Greg Kinnear, and Pierce Brosnan. Vincent Kartheiser , who plays the role of Pete Campbell, will be starring alongside Justin Timberlake, Matt Bomer, and Amanda Seyfried in the upcoming thriller, In Time.Even though viewers have to wait another year for their favorite cast members from Mad Men to return to the small screen, the big screen is only a movie theatre away to see them in their upcoming films.
