J.K. Rowling Hints at American Wizarding School

So if Harry Potter goes to Hogwarts in England, where do all the America wizards learn their craft? Do they sail across the Atlantic or is there an academic institution located on our own shores? CaptureThe age-old question is no longer the subject of speculation thanks to a tweet by Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling this week in response to a fan’s query, “@jk_rowling So what's the name of the US school?”  Playfully, she responded with “That information will be revealed in due course.”Potter die-hards have begun to suspect that this American school of magic will play a role in the upcoming movie adaptation of “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” Rowling’s book that expands on the many magical beasts found in Harry’s universe. Directed by David Yates (who helmed the film adaptations of books 5-7), it will focus on famed magical zoologist Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) and will be set in New York decades before Harry & Co. were born. All we have to go on right now is that the name of the school has “immigrant origin,” according to the writer.J__K__Rowling_2010
