Graffiti6

This duo is making moves in the music world and they’re here to stay

Graffiti6 is made up of singer/songwriter Jamie Scott and producer/songwriter Tommy D (aka Tommy Danvers). Both of these London-born gentlemen and multi-instrumentalists began collaborating in 2009. A third member, British artist and illustrator Jimi Crayon designs their artwork and is responsible for their bold and unique Technicolor visuals. Jamie Scott was the front man of Jamie Scoot & the Town, which toured with Alicia Keys and Kelly Clarkson, just to name a few. Tommy D worked with singers such as Right Said Fred and Kanye West. Tommy said in an interview “It’s interesting because I’ve always been a producer and a songwriter. I’ve been asked on many occasions to go on tour with people and I’ve always turned it down because it didn’t feel like the right thing to do. But when me and Jamie met, we started making music together and it was very obvious that there was a mutual appreciation.” Graffiti6’s sound can be described as an upbeat blend of soulful electro-pop. They described themselves as a “psychedelic Northern Soul” and they picked their name out of a random finger-point in a book. Their first track together was “Stare into the Sun” in 2009, and the title track was used for the TV ad campaign of The Sun newspaper. In 2010 they recorded “Annie You Save Me,” “Free” and “Stone In My Heart.” A year later they signed to Capitol Records and the album sales are now available in the States.Info source - ACESHOWBIZ.comPhoto source - Altsounds.comTrendland magazine
