Fresh Faces in Entertainment | Otmara Marrero
Otmara Marrero is a ‘Latina bombshell’– beauty, brains, brawn, and an ethnic sizzle like no other. While at first glance she is a gorgeous vision to behold, don’t be fooled into thinking that Otmara Marrero is just a pretty face. Born and raised in Miami, Florida of Cuban descent, Marrero ventured into the arts as a ballerina at the age of three. For the next sixteen years, Marrero would fine tune her craft in the rhythmic arts, from where she would later find a commonality with the dramatic arts.
Marrero moved to starring in commercials, such as for Miss Latina Universe, Dunkin Donuts, and KFC. She crept her way toward the top from commercials to modelling and print/advertisement work for Bacardi, Corona beer, and AT&T. The young starlet continued to persevere, propelling into film, including starring in My Daughter’s Dilemma and After Midnight. It was here that she found her creative knack in the performing arts scene. Almost speaking things into existence, Marrero will be the budding face across all of our television screens when she stars in Crackle’s new thriller Startup, which debuted September 6th. She stars opposite Martin Freeman, Adam Brody, and Edie Gathegi, and plays a tough talking Cuban hacker. Tune in this fall to see the plot thicken.
