Fresh Faces in Entertainment | John Marshall Jones

Hot off the heels of his movie, the Last Revolutionary, producer and critically acclaimed television, film, and stage actor John Marshall Jones, may best be known for his role as Floyd Henderson on the 90’s sitcom The Smartguy. Showing no signs of slowing down, Jones could well be considered the consummate actor, juggling three successful television shows: Rectify, Cut, and Bosch. If that wasn’t enough, he also takes center stage in the much acclaimed video game franchise, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

Of course, Jones did not start his career as a maverick. His trajectory has been a gradual climb allowing him to finely tune his craft with masterful precision. Hailing from Detroit, Jones attended Northwestern University where he received a BA in Theatre Arts. Afterwards, he moved to Chicago to work with Second City Theatre, and while there, he realized he was ready to move into the fullness of his acting career. Over the years following his stint with Second City Theatre, Jones booked roles in major movies like Good Morning, Vietnam, White Men Can’t Jump, The Doctor and Sgt. Bilko to name a few.

Jones proves with every opportunity there has been a level of strategic thoughtfulness - of which has guided him to the height of acting accomplishment. A true veteran to his profession, Jones has paved a path to his success with the same kind of fortitude aligned with Hollywood’s acting elite.
