Chelsea's Art Scene
While we love telling you about all sorts of awesome destinations and places of interest, today we would like to focus on something dear to our hearts. We're talking about New York City baby! But more specifically, we'll actually be touching on the art scene firmly planted in the super trendy Chelsea neighborhood. So come along, we don't have much time! Chelsea is one of the most snazzy neighborhoods in New York. Jason Sudeikis, Olivia Wilde, Jessica Biel, the Olsen twins and Katie Homes are just a few of the trendy regulars we see around these parts, so you know there has to be something special to attract the A-listers. When walking around here, you will notice an unusual number of galleries, art boutiques and work studios sprinkled across the west side. That's because many of its happening residents are involved in the fashion, art, marketing or film industries. And what's one of the best ways to spark creativity? Being around work created by creative people. When visiting New York, be sure to check out the Paul Kasmin Gallery situated on 10th avenue, it is one of the best places to discover new talent since the late 1980's. Many of the artists who held exhibitions here went off to make amazing reputations for themselves in the art sphere, and it can spark some serious creativity of your very own. The Gagosian Gallery on 24th street is also pretty amazing! Situated just a few mere few blocks away from Kasmin, it too features a rather interesting collection of work that is both classic and contemporary. Finding mixed media, sculpture, and increasingly interesting photography exhibits, it's a great place to discover something new.

Really, there are a slew of galleries worthy of your attention, like the Agora established in 1984. While this is not a museum of modern art, it sure feels like it when you walk through it's halls. The national and international work featured there takes visitors on a whirlwind artistic adventure across the world. It's pretty cool, and you should see it for yourselves.

And then there is the Jonathan Levine Gallery on 20th. Fueled by the punk scene and refined by the current cultural trends, it is a unique place to check out cutting edge work that is both provocative and visually stunning. As visitors take in the original art arranged in the super unusual manner typical of the gallery, amazement is one definitive emotion you will certainly experience. You're welcome.Photo Source: Wiki Commons
