Bridging the Gap - Hockey Meets Fashion: Fashion Face-Off 2014
Fashion moguls, models and athletes, oh my! Hockey and Haute Couture become one at this year's (2014) Ice Hockey in Harlem's (IHIH) Fashion Face-Off.
The NYC based non-profit organization is set to host their second annual Fashion Face-Off at The Providence in midtown NYC at 7pm on the 3rd of September, during New York Fashion Week. Meshing the brash and hard-hitting themes of hockey with the most stylish and avant garde fashion pieces, this not-so-typical runway competition is one for the ages. 10 designers will compete for the chance to land a coveted spot and full layout in an upcoming issue of Raine Magazine. Being judged by the experts themselves, these designers will have to bring the heat and dress to impress not only fashion moguls such as executive producer and creator of NBC's "Fashion Star", EJ Johnston, but the hockey pros themselves.
Who says fashion and sports don't go together? Coming off an extremely successful launch in 2013, IHIH's Fashion Face-Off challenges the top up-and-coming designers to bring their 'A' game and hit the runway with style.
